AI Bot Access Check

Find out whether your site can actually be read by the AI bots behind ChatGPT, Perplexity, and Copilot. We test access for each bot and show where you let them in and where content disappears behind JavaScript. You get a bot-by-bot breakdown and a concrete fix list. Free, no coding required.

How does the automation work?

You give the tool your site URL inside Claude Code and we visit it as each major AI bot in turn: we send a request in that bot's name and watch how the site responds. From that you see who gets in, who gets stopped by a firewall, and how much of your pages the bot can actually read. We only read your site the way the bot sees it — we change nothing.

  • Start

    You enter the site URL

    In Claude Code, no coding.

  • We visit as each bot

For GPTBot, ClaudeBot, PerplexityBot, bingbot and others we send a request using each bot's user-agent, compare it to a regular browser, and track who the site lets in and who it turns away. You see the actual server response for every bot.

  • We read robots.txt and firewall rules

For each bot we go through robots.txt, and we also reveal when robots.txt allows a bot but a firewall stops it anyway — services like Cloudflare have been blocking many AI bots automatically since 2025, often without the site owner knowing.

  • We surface content hidden behind JavaScript

Most bots don't run JavaScript. We load the page as a browser and as a bot and compare what content the bot misses without rendering — prices, descriptions, articles.

  • We cover multiple page types

From your sitemap we sample pages (articles, products, categories) and for each type we compare where the bot sees content and where it doesn't. We don't only check the homepage.

  • Output

    Report + fix list

Bot by bot, with concrete next steps.

FAQ

What exactly do you check?

For each major AI bot we send a real request in its name and compare it to a regular browser — we see who the site lets in and who a firewall stops. We also go through robots.txt for each bot individually and check whether content is hidden behind JavaScript (which most bots can't read), across a sample of page types from your sitemap, not just the homepage. The output is a bot-by-bot report and a fix list.

Do you change anything on my site?

No. We only read what's publicly available — robots.txt and pages as a bot sees them. Nothing is logged in, nothing is uploaded, nothing is changed.

Do I need a developer or API keys?

No. It runs in Claude Code, installation is two lines from your email, no paid API, no keys. The fixes the report suggests can usually be handled by your developer or website supplier.

Does it cover ChatGPT, Perplexity, Copilot, and Gemini?

Yes. We test a canonical list of AI bots (13+ as of June 2026) across ChatGPT, Perplexity, Claude, Copilot, and Google. For each one we tell you which engine powers it and how serious it is if you block it.

What if my site is behind Cloudflare and the test isn't fully accurate?

For sites behind a CDN we say so directly in the report — some results are indicative because the firewall can recognise a bot by IP, not just by name. The report guides you on where to verify the exact status: Search Console, Bing Webmaster Tools, your CDN dashboard.
